about

Written and recorded during lockdown, this is a song about feeling self-conscious about yourself and your actions. It's a reminder (to myself mainly) that we are all just getting on with our lives, and that most people, if they are aware of you, aren't looking to judge you.

James McKean (of James McKean and the Blueberry Moon) sings backing vocals along with Melanie on this one.

lyrics

Nobody's watching, nobody cares
When you go walking nobody stares
No one is hiding, nothing's concealed
No one is there when the truth is revealed
Everyone's looking away
When you pass by my door

Sometimes it's simple, sometimes it's not
Trying to cling to whatever you've got
Time may be passing, days may be long
No one is sure of what's right and what's wrong
No one will treat you unkind
If you come to my door

You can be sure that whatever's in store
For the both of us won't change a thing.
The birds in the branches will sing
Remembering all that a summer can bring
Long before you and I found what was waiting within

Give me your word, I'll give you the same
We won't tell a soul of the day that you came
We'll keep it a secret that's ours to reveal
The verdict against overturned on appeal
No one will judge you again
If you come to my door
